Commissioner's Comments

Proposed standards are right for livestock and producers

JAMES R. COMER
Agriculture Commissioner

The proposed Kentucky livestock care standards are right for Kentucky livestock and producers alike. They are clear and specific to each livestock species. I am pleased that the Kentucky Board of Agriculture approved the proposed standards in March, and I look forward to walking them through the remainder of the regulatory process so livestock producers can be certain about what the rules are and what they need to do to abide by them.
