Hazelnut Sour Cream Coffee Cake You'll need: 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 cup sour cream 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups cake flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt powdered sugar (optional) Topping: 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 2 tablespoons brown sugar Several drops of "The Coffee Shop" Hazelnut Flavoring
Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Fold in sour cream and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt, beat. Pour half the batter into a greased and floured cake ring. Sprinkle on half the topping, then pour on remainder of batter and sprinkle on rest of topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Cool 1-2 hours before removing from pan. Sprinkle powdered sugar on each piece you will be serving, if desired. Recipe courtesy:
