Bred Heifer Sale for 10/20/2007 

Receipts:  316

Heifers were from 18 to 24 months in age and consisted mainly of blacks, black 
white faced, Charolais and a few reds.  Several weeks before the sale, all 
heifers were pelvic measured and pregnancy checked to determine approximate 
calving date by a licensed veterinarian.  At this time certified graders from 
the Kentucky Department of Agriculture visually screened all heifers for 
quality.  Calving dates for all heifers were from mid January to late March.  

318 head averaged 1076.00 per head 

Medium and Large 1-2  272 head had a price range from 1000.00 to 1220.00 and an 
average price of 1103.00.  Medium and Large 2  43 head (plain and or thin) had a 
price range from 900.00 to 1010.00 and an average of 975.00.  Small 1  3 head 
had a price range from 830.00 to 850.00 and an average of 843.00.
