Kentucky Department of Agriculture

LEXINGTON — The Kentucky Department of Agriculture presented Kentucky Proud Partner in Excellence Awards during the boys and girls state basketball tournaments in March.

“This award is given in recognition of the recipients’ commitment to the growth and sustainability of agriculture in the Commonwealth,” said Jennifer Mueller, director of business development for the Kentucky Proud program.

Recipients of Partner in Excellence awards included:

• Tamara Sandberg, Kentucky Association of Food Banks
• Tom Weeks, Kentucky Nursery and Landscape Association
• Stacy Roof and Jeremy Ashby, Kentucky Restaurant Association
• Laura Stephenson, University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service Plate It Up program
• Pat Caudill, Caudill Seed
• Ginny Grulke, Kentucky Horse Council
• Kentucky Pork Producers Association
• David Maples, Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association
• Maury Cox, Kentucky Dairy Development Council
• Roger Thomas and Frank Penn, Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy/Kentucky Agricultural Development Board
