The Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Farm and Home Safety Program will conduct the symposium. The program will be a “back to basics” look at safety when working on the farm and using farm equipment. The KDA’s one-of-a-kind tractor rollover simulator will be on display to show the importance of a rollover protection structure. The KDA also will display lawn mowers and all-terrain vehicles.

During the Dixie Fire School, Dale Dobson, the KDA’s Farm and Home Safety Program administrator, will conduct classes on farm rescues. The classes will cover common types of farm accidents, farm equipment mechanics and other topics.
