CENTRAL KENTUCKY FARM DESTINATIONS OFFER UNIQUE GIFTS AND SPECIAL HOLIDAY EVENTS

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Holiday shoppers can find one-of-a-kind gifts, special events and country fun at farm destinations in 12 central Kentucky counties.

The Central Kentucky Agritourism Association invites guests to stop by member farms to shop for locally produced holiday gifts and enjoy free holiday open farm events. Visitors may stay overnight at a Kentucky Farm Stay or buy bed and breakfast farm stay gift certificates. Guests who stop at five member farms will receive a Tour Reward Card good for a free Kentucky Proud gift.

Among the CKAA holiday events and highlights:

* 1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor in Springfield will host an annual holiday open house, Christmas tea and alpaca fashion show Dec. 2 from 1-7 p.m. EST. * Visitors to Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill near Harrodsburg can enjoy a simpler, Shaker-style Christmas on Dec. 2. The Pleasant Hill Singers and solo musicians will perform. * Springhill Winery & Plantation B&B near Bloomfield will host a holiday open house Nov. 25 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. EST. Springhill is selling Kentucky wine and gift baskets. Call (502) 252-9463.

* Several other central Kentucky vineyards have Kentucky wine and gift baskets for sale.
