FRANKFORT, Ky. — Three regional beekeeping schools in Kentucky are coming up.

The Allen County Beekeepers Association will present the second annual Central Kentucky and Tennessee Beekeeping School Feb. 4 at the Western Kentucky University Ag Expo Center in Bowling Green. Beekeeping experts will conduct classes on various beekeeping management topics in three concurrent class tracks.

The school will offer a total of 20 classes in class tracks for beginners and more experienced beekeepers. Registration will be $15 in advance and $20 at the door with a $5 discount for students high school age and younger. For questions about registration, contact Larry Blandford at (859) 223-2530 or mrlarrybee@aol.com.

The Kentucky Audubon Beekeeping School March 4 at Stone Hill Honey in Henderson County will offer workshops on hive management, marketing, pollination services, making beeswax products, and other subjects. Pre-registration is $10 and is due by Feb. 25. Registration at the door is $15. For more information, contact Paul or Betsy Stone at (270) 826-2767 or bpstoneky@bellsouth.net.
