The 2005 Grand Champion Country Ham was sold for a record $340,000.00 at the annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Country Ham Breakfast at the Kentucky State Fair. Republic Bank and Trust Company of Louisville placed the winning bid for the ham, produced by Broadbent B&B Foods of Cadiz. The previous record was $250,000, set two years ago. All proceeds from the auction will go to a charity of the high bidder's choice.
