"It takes hard work and sacrifice to reach your goals."

Commissioner Richie Farmer

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Dozens of Kentucky youths were rewarded for their efforts in the 2004 Kentucky Junior Livestock Points Program in a banquet Saturday in Bardstown.

“I congratulate all of these young people for their effort and dedication,” Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer said. “I learned long ago that it takes hard work and sacrifice to reach your goals. Livestock showing teaches these values, and the boys and girls who participated in the Kentucky Junior Livestock Points Program have learned lessons about hard work and sacrifice that will serve them well throughout their lives.”
