FRANKFORT, Ky. — Remke Markets will unveil a cornucopia of Kentucky Proud foods in its seven northern Kentucky locations on Dec. 17.
“We are thrilled to add Remke Markets to the growing roster of groceries that offer great Kentucky Proud products,” Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer said. “Retailers are finding that new customers will come to their stores to buy Kentucky Proud foods. Remke Markets is giving northern Kentucky consumers more Kentucky Proud products to choose from while also giving Kentucky Proud producers a new market for their products.”
Rodger Bingham, Kentucky’s own “Survivor,” will join the festivities at the Hebron store from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Former Miss Kentucky Maria Maldonado Smith will be at the Newport store from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Several Kentucky Proud producers will give demonstrations of their products at the Hebron and Newport stores.
Remke Markets will sell sauces from Maker’s Mark, Wild Turkey, Evan Williams, Pappy’s, Kentucky Smokin Grill and Gib’s; Screamin’ Mimi’s and McDowell Farms salsas, Weisenberger Mills mixes, Kentucky Heritage Meats, Bluegrass Quality Meats, WindStone Farms jams, Fishmarket Seafood fish products, Bloemer’s chili and taco products, Moonlite Bar-B-Q burgoo and barbecue sauce, Sweet Dillies pickles and pickle relish, Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese, Kentucky Beer Cheese, john conti coffee, Kenny’s Cajun Corn and other foods from producers right here in Kentucky.
Remke Markets also will offer holiday gift baskets of Kentucky Proud foods.
Remke Markets has served northern Kentucky customers since 1897. It is one of the leading supermarket chains in the northern Kentucky market. The employee-owned chain has seven stores in northern Kentucky and one in Deer Park, Ohio.
