Stockyards and Dealers

The Office of State Veterinarian administers and enforces the licensure of Stockyards, Buying Stations and Livestock Dealers and Approved Horse Sales:
• Stockyards, Buying Stations and Approved Horse Sales must renew licensure annually with approval by June 30th
• Livestock Dealers must renew licensure by December 31st of each year
• Stockyards, Buying Stations and Livestock Dealers must be registered with the USDA Grain Inspection, Packers & Stockyards Administration (GIPSA)
