Lee's Bees is a business name that is reflective of our feelings of where the credit belongs for the production of the honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis, wax and pollination provided by one of God's better creations. The honey bee.
Our honey is strained and not filtered. Filtered honey removes all pollen and wax particles from honey and many contend the flavor leaves with the filtering. Our honey is extracted and bottled in a facility that is inspected by the Kentucky Health Department as required. Though beekeeping is not for everyone; everyone should learn to appreciate the wonders brought into the world by these marvelous creatures. Our bees gather honey on different farms in Franklin, Shelby, Owen, and Menifee Counties.
Kentucky Appalachian Honey (tulip poplar, sourwood, and assorted wildflowers) is a dark honey with greeeeeat flavor. This comes from the Lee farm in Menifee County. Kentucky Bluegrass Honey (clover, sunflower and assorted wildflowers) is a amber honey. The flavor is wonderful. Lee's Bees honeys are available in various sizes: 12 oz. honey bears, 1/2 pint, pint, 8 oz., 1LB, 2LB, Quarts, Gallon.
