Pasture-Bred Commercial Chickens Exhibition and Heritage Breed Poultry Shady Lane Poultry Farm, Inc. is a poultry genetics company and hatchery. We breed, hatch, and sell specialty poultry lines to farmers and producers who direct-market pastured poultry and eggs to their clientele. We also offer exhibition quality large fowl, heirloom breeds and bantams in several breeds and varieties.

Shady Lane Poultry Farm, Inc. is a small poultry breeding company that specializes in pasture-bred commercial day-old chicks. One of the reasons we are unique is because we actually own the breeding stock that produces our hatching eggs. Our commercial lines are developed from some of the very best genetic resources in the world and will perform on your farm in a variety of systems. We believe that access to pasture and fresh air is the best environment for chickens. Our commercial breeding stock is raised in day-range systems with year-round access to the outdoors. Our belief is that chicks produced from birds bred on pasture are hardy and better adapted to the extensive production systems that are becoming more common among small and medium-sized producers.

We are happy to answer any questions about the farm, hatchery or poultry in general. However as those of you who raise several birds know, chores can make us nearly impossible to reach. We will make our best effort to respond to phone calls and emails as soon as possible.
