About us
At Koenig Farm, Spinnery and Yarn Shop you will find a unique line of 100% Yarns. In order to produce our luxurious yarns, our Angora Goats share their mohair with us twice a year. First we shear the mohair and gently wash it. Then the fiber is carded and spun into yarn in our spinning mill. After the yarn is spun, we either keep it natural or it is hand painted with brushes into a wide spectrum of luscious colors for our customer's knitting, crocheting and weaving pleasure!
Stop in and visit with us, our Angora goats, spinning mill and yarn shop packed full of wonderful soft yarns, knitting goodies and gadgets, spinner's rovings, spinning wheels, patterns and projects just waiting for someone to start.
Spinning mills tours are available when you visit. See how our yarn is made from the Angora Goat right through to the finished yarn!
Directions
From the Blue Grass Parkway, take exit 42 to Springfield. You will be on 555 south, wash for signs for Lincoln Homestead State Park. Follow the State Park sign and turn right on Rt. 438. We will be on your left. You will see a big green and white sign for Koenig Farm, Spinnery and Yarn Shop. If you reach the State Park you have gone to farm. T
