Along with our team at the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, there are many agencies and organizations available to assist landowners with technical, financial, and management decisions as they seek to gain more value from their woodlands. Below are a few of these organizations’ web sites listed alphabetically, but you can browse with a focus on other attributes to find additional expertise or funding.

KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF CONSULTING FORESTERS

The Kentucky Chapter of the Association of Consulting Foresters of America is a non-profit, professional organization representing the professional consulting foresters in Kentucky.

KENTUCKY FOREST INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION

The Kentucky Forest Industries Association represents the wood products industry, landowners and forestry interests in Kentucky. The association also supports the State Tree Farm Program.

KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT OF FISH & WILDLIFE

Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife private land biologists are a great resource if wildlife is one of your objectives.

KENTUCKY DIVISION OF FORESTRY

Kentucky Division of Forestry employs service foresters that can help woodland owners develop a management plan.

KENTUCKY WOODLAND OWNERS ASSOCIATION

Kentucky Woodland Owners Association provides its members with networking and educational opportunities while advancing the importance of our forest resources.

UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FARM SERVICE AGENCY

The Farm Service Agency implements agricultural policy, administers credit and loan programs, and manages conservation, commodity, disaster and farm marketing programs through a national network of offices.

UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOREST SERVICE

The State and Private Forestry (S&PF) organization of the USDA Forest Service reaches across the boundaries of national forests to states, tribes, communities and non-industrial private landowners.
