The Office of Legal Services (OLS) handles the day-to-day legal needs of Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA).
OLS also serves as the KDA’s legislative liaison to members of the Kentucky General Assembly, represents the Department and its employees in administrative hearings and court proceedings, responds to open records requests it receives from members of the public, and performs other duties assigned by the Commissioner of Agriculture.
Please be advised that the Kentucky Department of Agriculture filed an amendment to 302 KAR 60:010 on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Written public comments to the regulation will be accepted through October 31, 2026. A public hearing is currently scheduled to take place on October 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at KDA Headquarters 111 Corporate Drive, Frankfort, KY 40601. Requests to speak at the meeting or submissions of written public comments may be addressed to Marc E. Manley at marce.manley@ky.gov. Requests to speak at the public hearing must be received no later than October 23, 2026. If no requests to speak at the public hearing are received, then the public hearing will be canceled.
