Shows and Fairs promotes Kentucky's livestock industry by sponsoring over 100 district, state, and national livestock shows and sales for youth and adult exhibitors. The division administers the Aid to Local Agricultural Fair Programs, which monitors 100 local county fairs in promoting and advancing Kentucky agriculture. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture provides premiums for these shows and programs totaling more than $1 million annually.

the Kentucky Proud Livestock Classic

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture is proud to announce an exciting new sponsorship opportunity for individuals and businesses committed to supporting the next generation of livestock exhibitors. The Kentucky Proud Livestock Classic is the first-ever fully Kentucky Proud livestock show Sept. 6, 2025, at the Casey County Ag Expo Center. This event celebrates the hard work and dedication of young people across the state who raise and show livestock and highlights our Kentucky bred animals.

The show will begin at 8 a.m. EST and conclude upon completion of the livestock awards ceremony.

General rules and regulations for The Kentucky Proud Livestock Classic.

We invite individuals and businesses to partner with us in recognizing these outstanding youth by becoming a sponsor of the Kentucky Proud Livestock Classic. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture is seeking $70,000 in sponsorship for the event. Sponsorship levels range from $500 to $20,000, offering flexibility for individuals and businesses of all sizes to participate meaningfully.
