LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky Farm Bureau’s (KFB) Emmy Award-winning television program, "Bluegrass & Backroads," returns for its 12th season on the air. The show will be broadcast on a number of state television networks including Kentucky Educational Television (KET) and will air nationally on RFD-TV.
Exploring everything from festivals to the KFB Outstanding Young Farm Family finalists to a walk through a forest lit with 5,000 jack-o-lanterns, Season 12 of "Bluegrass & Backroads" will offer its viewers a look at many of Kentucky’s unique cultural and agricultural aspects.
“The new season is filled with a lot of fun stories. It is one of the best ever,” said Bob Shrader, KFB’s video production coordinator. “We were excited last year when Season 11 got five Emmy nominations, and I think this season holds even more interesting and entertaining stories.”
"Bluegrass & Backroads" is a 30-minute show that explores the various agricultural, cultural, historical, and artistic stories unique to Kentucky. Produced at the KFB state headquarters in Louisville, the program is written, filmed, hosted, directed, and edited by the two-person team of Shrader and Matt Hilton.
“While producing each 'Bluegrass & Backroads' episode, we come across so many interesting and amazing people, places, and events in Kentucky,” said Hilton. “I can’t imagine living anywhere else, and I hope our viewers feel that same way.”
