Hinton elected president of Agriculture Workforce Management Association

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Steven Hinton of Breckinridge County was elected as the new president and Robert Gray of Christian County was elected as a new board member of the Agriculture Workforce Management Association Inc. (AWMA) at its annual meeting held on Jan. 17 in Owensboro.

AWMA is one the largest H-2A agencies in the United States. The H-2A program is a government program that allows agriculture employers to request foreign workers for temporary or seasonal employment. Located in Lexington, AWMA manages the H-2A process for over 500 employers in surrounding states.

The AWMA officers and board members for 2015 are as follows:

President, Steven Hinton - Breckinridge Co
Vice-President, Mark Turner - McLean Co
Board Member, Robert Gray - Christian Co
Board Member, Joe Spalding - Marion County
Board Member, Tim Tarter - Pulaski County
