PORCINE (PIG)


IMPORT REQUIREMENTS

    ALL PORCINE:
  • Official ID required (i.e. EID/RFID/840 or other country code plastic tag, state issued metal tag, ear notch with registration papers)
  • Two Statements on CVI:

    1. Swine have not been Pseudorabies vaccinated

    2. Swine have not been fed garbage

  • AND meet the requirements for the pertinent purpose of entry listed below


    CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP or BREEDING:
  • Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within thirty (30) days prior to entry
  • Import Permit shall be obtained and recorded on CVI by issuing veterinarian at 502-573-0282 OR online HERE


    ALL PORCINE: SHOW/SALE COMBINATION (where the animals will be co-mingling with animals from other states and then be sold):

    Please be advised that the following is required for swine importing to the State of Kentucky for exhibition purposes:

  • Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within thirty (30) days prior to entry (CVI shall be completed at the time of examination)
  • Import Permit shall be obtained and recorded on CVI by issuing veterinarian within thirty (30) days prior to entry at 502-573-0282 OR online HERE
