About us

Terrapin Hill Farm is a family-owned farm run by Pete and Brenda Cashel with their children, Kelby, Deanna and Jonah. The 350-acre certified organic farm is located west of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, along the Chaplin river. Fertile ¿bottom¿ fields, rolling hills in pasture, hardwood and cedar woods, numerous streams and a 1-acre pond combine to create a beautiful farm setting. We have been farming organically for 8 years and sell all our products locally, serving the central Kentucky area.

We grow a wide variety of vegetables, from asparagus to zucchini, and almost everything in between. In the spring we sell over 20 varieties of potted herb plants, as well as pepper and tomato plants, specializing in heirloom varieties.

We also offer our own free-range chicken eggs and frozen pastured poultry. In order to promote the idea of a Local Food Economy we also sell beef and pork products from other Kentucky farmers. This meat is Antibiotic, Steroid, and Hormone Free (A*S*H Free) and is also USDA inspected and processed locally.
