The Owsley County Chapter of the Future Farmers of America has sponsored and helped create this company which hopes to provide a larger market for vegetables in what has traditionally been a tobacco county.
We hope to stimulate the community's economic growth by buying as much as possible from local buyers and opening our market to enterprises in and out of the county.
We believe in the future of agriculture with a faith born not of words, but of deeds: achievements won by the past and present generations of agriculturalists, in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things that we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years.
--E.M. Tiffany
From new eleven, drive straight through town and across the South Fork of the Kentucky River bridge, until you come to Marshall's Marathon; turn left and drive until you see a sign saying 'Owsley County High School'; turn left again and proceed to the top of the hill; in the office, ask to speak to the head of the agriculture department--Mr. Alan Taylor.
