Kentucky youths to be honored at Kentucky Proud Points luncheon

Hundreds of young Kentuckians who excelled in livestock shows in 2008 will be rewarded at the fifth annual Kentucky Proud Points awards luncheon Dec. 6 in Frankfort.

The Kentucky Proud Points program awards points to exhibitors and livestock in shows sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, including the state’s three junior livestock expos and the Kentucky State Fair.

The luncheon will take place at 12:30 p.m. EST at the Frankfort Civic Center. Adults will be charged $5 to help offset the cost of the meal. Seating is limited so anyone wishing to attend is asked to RSVP to Melinda Watts at (502) 564-4983, ext. 248, or melinda.watts@ky.gov.
