Office for Strategic Planning and Administration
Division of Information Technology
The Division of Information Technology's mission is to provide technology systems and infrastructure which will enable KDA employees to perform their duties in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
The Division strives to turn limited funding into smart, user-friendly technology solutions that allow our staff to do their jobs with greater ease, speed, and accuracy. We are constantly enhancing our suite of on-line internet portals to better serve Kentucky citizens, farmers, and the countless businesses and service providers that we regulate to help keep Kentuckians safe.
Many application and licensing processes that were once driven by paper are now done instantly over the internet from businesses and homes across the nation. In support of our "Green" initiatives, we are currently expanding our use of electronic document imaging throughout the agency with the goal of eliminating the use of paper processes and costly paper file storage wherever possible.
In order to stay on par with the ever-changing latest technologies, our goal is to keep pace by combining education and experience and to maintain a highly motivated, trained IT staff. Our division is committed to making the best use of technology to help the Kentucky Department of Agriculture be the model for all other states across the nation.
