Welcome to the Kentucky Agriculture webpage for Billy & Patsy Gillenwate. We are formerly beef, & tobacco farmers., We grew our last tobacco crop in 2005. We began growing worms in 2001 as an alternative source of income in addition to our other farming interests.
Our red wigglers are great for fishing and composting. We include free growing instructions if you are interested in starting your own bin. One of the best things about growing worms is the excellent chemical free fertilize they produce known as castings, or simply put - worm poo.
Our worms are $23.50 for one pound and $39.50 for two pound . This includes handling and shipping. Worms are rolled through a harvester, with only worms being weighed, then are put back in a bedding of damp peat moss for their journey to your home. We ship USPS "prioity mail" The Orders will be shipped Tuesdays to ensure delivery of live, healthy worms.
