Raising Hope - Farmer Health & Mental Health Resources
Raising Hope focuses on improving the mental and physical health of agricultural producers and is a partnership with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, state universities, and the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. The campaign is supported by appropriations from the Kentucky General Assembly.
A coalition of agriculture, education, and healthcare institutions, Raising Hope works with farmers and their families to promote their wellbeing – mental and physical. Debt, extreme weather, unstable prices, and isolation have created a storm of stress for farmers over the last few decades. For the people who feed the rest of us – we see you, we appreciate you, and we are here to help.
We know just how stressful the life of a farmer can be. The good news is you’re never alone. You’re important to us and many others. You never have to keep your troubles to yourself because we’re here for just one reason: to help you whenever you need it. Help and hope are both free and confidential – and you can talk to someone who is trained to help farmers and farm families just like you. For help now, please call 800-273-TALK or text “KY” to 741741.
