Commercial Distributors

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture, Division of Food Distribution, is responsible for the logistics of getting food from USDA to Recipient Agencies. Kentucky has a commercial distribution system. Through the state bid process, the state contracts with commercial distributors to receive, store, and distribute USDA commodities to eligible agencies for a bid price per case.
