Using
the Kentucky Proud logo
A
registered service mark: Kentucky Proud is a registered
service mark of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. The logo
promotes Kentucky producers and their quality products that are
grown, processed or hand-crafted here in the Commonwealth.
How
to become a Kentucky Proud participant: Click
here for full details about
becoming a Kentucky Proud producer. There is no cost to apply. You
are required to offer quality, home-grown or home-processed products.
Important benefits of becoming an official Kentucky Proud participant
are that advertising, promotional and marketing efforts direct consumers
to look for products with this logo.
Permitted
uses of the logo: Producers
must submit an application and become an official participant of
Kentucky Proud in order to use the logo. The Kentucky Department
of Agriculture reserves the right to pursue legal action to enforce
this registered service mark for unauthorized use.
The
Kentucky Proud logo is distinguished by a cardinal in flight in
the upper left, with right "swoosh" border in green, lower
left "swoosh" border in blue. "Kentucky" is
in blue and "Proud" is in green.
The
exact Pantone colors, terms that will be understood by any professional
printer, are as follows: Red, Pantone #187; Green, Pantone #357;
Blue, Pantone #294.
The
logo may be used by the news media, advertisers and retailers as
long as the logo directly relates to Kentucky Proud producers or
products.
