One avenue through which the Kentucky Department of Agriculture promotes Kentucky food companies and their products is through the participation in approved tradeshows both in and out of Kentucky. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture subsidizes a portion of each participant’s booth space to assist small to midsize Kentucky companies in the marketing of their products. 2012 Indiana Artisan Marketplace**Participation at this event will not be reimbursed by the Kentucky Proud Program**March 30-April 1, 2012Indiana State Fairgrounds Exhibition HallIndianapolis, IndianaIndiana Artisan is inviting Kentucky Proud producers to participate at the 2012 Indiana Artisan Marketplace. The event will take place March 30-April 1, 2012 at the Indiana State Fairgorunds Exhibition Hall in Indianapolis, Indiana. Following the Kentucky Crafted model, Friday, March 30th will be an invitation-only trade day. On Saturday and Sunday, March 31st and April 1st, the public will be invited. This year's event will feature only Indiana Artisans, and Kentucky Crafted and Kentucky Proud artisans. The cost to register for a 10' x 10' booth space for the three days is $300. Registrations for the Indiana Artisan Marketplace will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis within several categories of product to maintain balance. The registration deadline is Wednesday, February 1, 2012. The only reason an application will not be accepted is if it arrives after the maximum number of Kentucky participants, in balanced products, has been selected. The booth fee will only be deposited once a company has been accepted into the Marketplace. The theme for the 2012 Marketplace is again Create, Cultivate, Celebrate. Kentucky's Fort Harrod Beef Festival**Participation at this event will not be reimbursed by the Kentucky Proud Program**June 1-2, 2012Mercer County FairgroundsHarrodsburg, KentuckyThe 7th Annual Kentucky's Fort Harrod Beef Festival will take place June 1-2, 2012 at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. This event is packed with a grill-off competition, beef education, wine and cheese tasting, a car show, a 5K race, the Kentucky State 4-H/FFA District Dairy Show, steak and eggs breakfast, live entertainment, festival food, children's activities, pageants, and much more. Exhibitors are an integral part of the festival. The planning committee is pleased to invite companies to participate as exhibitors in 2012, where they can showcase their products and services to the festival's visitors. Vendors must fall into one of the following categories: Agriculture, Arts & Crafts, Kentucky Proud, or Historical/Educational, Home Ware/Decor, or Antiques. The vendor fee for a 10' x 10' space is only $25.00 for the two days. In order to fully capitalize on the marketing of the festival, please complete the Exhibitor Registration Form and return with payment by Friday, May 11, 2012 to be included in the annual Festival Guide.
