Mobile Science Activty Centers give students a fun way to learn about agriculture.
The Department supports Kentucky’s youth in many ways. The KDA’s Division of Agriculture Education, Farm Safety and Farmland Preservation has two popular programs that travel to schools around the state and touch the lives of thousands of Kentucky children throughout the school year.

The KDA launched a second Mobile Science Activity Center in 2006 in response to increasing demand from Kentucky schools for visits by the traveling interactive education experience.
Each 42-foot trailer contains 10 group work stations, allowing students to conduct hands-on investigations about agriculture and the environment.
Students apply scientific principles and processes to agricultural materials to make corn plastic, lip balm, ice cream and other products.
