Boyd wins grand championship at National Junior Angus Show

Blake Boyd of Mayslick, Ky., showed the grand champion bred-and-owned cow-calf pair at the National Junior Angus Show July 13-19 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa.

Boyd Forever Lady 5125, a September 2005 daughter of Wulffs Ext 6106, was accompanied by an October 2007 heifer calf sired by S A V 8180 Traveler 004. The pair also won the 2-year-old division.

Lauren Moss of Lancaster, Ky., finished fifth in the 42nd National Junior Angus Showmanship Contest during the National Show. Another Kentuckian, Ericka Waggener of Harrodsburg, was among 15 finalists out of 46 competitors from 27 states.
