Master Gardeners to speak at Allen County Spring Garden Expo

Members of the Allen County Master Gardeners will talk about a variety of gardening topics and answer questions at the third annual Spring Garden Expo April 4 from 9 a.m.-noon CDT at the Allen County Extension Office.

Speakers and topics include:

Bill Groenwald – drip irrigation

Nadine Wilkerson – container gardening

Joe Dobbs – cold frames

Jan Bloink – butterfly gardening

Steve Osborne – composting

The local homemakers club, Allen County 4-H, the Allen County Beekeepers Association, the Scottsville Arts Guild, the Allen County Farmers’ Market, the Allen County Garden Club, the Allen County Library and several local businesses will participate in the Spring Garden Expo. A new Kids Corner will give children an opportunity to pot seeds or transplants and learn about gardening.
