KDA helps Kentucky food businesses exhibit at trade shows

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture helps Kentucky Proud food businesses display their products at National Association for the Specialty Food Trade shows.

Screamin’ Mimi’s Salsa was one of more than 800 exhibitors in front of 12,000 trade professionals from throughout the United States and overseas at the 2008 Global Food and Style Expo in Chicago in April. Najla’s Gone Chunky Cookies of Louisville and Broadbent B&B Foods of Cadiz will exhibit at the NASFT food show in New York in June.

The KDA pays half the fees for Kentucky Proud food companies to exhibit at these and other trade shows. The shows give Kentucky Proud businesses an opportunity to reach a large number of buyers in one place and generate sales.

For more information on the services of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s marketing office, call Alisha Morris at (502) 564-4983. For more information on NASFT’s trade shows, go to www.specialtyfood.com.
