Gateway Agritourism Association marks launch with kickoff

The Gateway Agritourism Association will host a kickoff event later this month to commemorate the creation of the new regional tourism organization.

The kickoff event will be Oct. 22 from 5-7 p.m. EDT at the Bath County Ag Center off Exit 123 of Interstate 64.

Based in Mt. Sterling, the association promotes agritourism operations and related businesses in Bath, Bourbon, Clark, Menifee, Montgomery, Powell and Rowan counties. It is funded by a grant from the Governor's Office of Agricultural Policy and local matching funds.
