Former Miss Kentucky, TV contestant hits the road to promote Kentucky's 'amazing' farm destinations
Former Miss Kentucky and “Amazing Race” contestant Mallory Ervin is helping to raise awareness about Kentucky’s many fun farm destinations.
Ervin is working with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture on a radio advertising campaign on the Kentucky News Network to promote Kentucky Farms Are Fun, the state’s agritourism initiative. The Morganfield native also is making personal appearances at selected destinations and conducting interviews promoting agritourism and the Kentucky Farms Are Fun website. The site, www.kentuckyfarmsarefun.com, contains a searchable directory of Kentucky farm destinations and descriptions of agritourism itineraries. “Kentucky’s agritourism sites provide an enjoyable retreat for the whole family,” Commissioner Farmer said. “Whether you’re looking for a special event, a farm experience, or a relaxing getaway, you’ll find it at a Kentucky farm destination near you.”

“I am very excited that my friend Mallory Ervin is helping us call attention to these wonderful destinations,” Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer said. “Mallory was a fan favorite as Miss Kentucky and in two appearances on ‘The Amazing Race’ for her energy and sincerity. She will be a terrific ambassador for Kentucky agritourism.”
