FRANKFORT, Ky. — Patrick Jennings, Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture and Chief of Staff for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, resigned March 2 to accept a policy and administration position with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Mr. Jennings will remain in his current position with the Department until his replacement is hired. Following is a statement from Mr. Jennings regarding his resignation:

“I am proud to have helped Commissioner Farmer transition into his administration, one that has seen a reorganization of the Department of Agriculture to make it more efficient and more responsive to the needs of Kentuckians.

“This new opportunity enables me to diversify my public service and I look forward to bringing the work ethic that I have built my reputation upon to the Transportation Cabinet as I work with Governor Fletcher and Secretary Bailey.”
