I sometimes wonder, “Where do our cattle go?” There’s nothing on beef packaging that states where the cow is from or where the farm is located. All the package states, is that it’s beef, and then the expiration date. I then ask myself, “Did this animal come from Florida, Georgia, or even Mississippi? Was the animal raised on grass, or feed? Silage, or hay?” If you take time to think about it, this can be very frightening, not knowing or trusting where your steak or hamburger came from. For farmers, “Will my cattle end up on the shelves somewhere in Las Vegas or California?” I used to think and worry over things like this. But now, with Kentucky Proud, I have no more worries, it’s that simple!

With Kentucky Proud, I can guarantee that anything that has the Kentucky Proud label is grown and raised in Kentucky. This not only creates peace of mind for me and my family, but for others as well. I help my Dad on weekends, breaks, and on stock yard sales; I help run the family business, Tamme Farms

since 1910. Our operation is located in Boyle County Kentucky and also has been here since 1910. Helping feed, and run our company has taught me various management, responsibility,
