HENRY COUNTY HARVEST SHOWCASE
IS THE PLACE FOR FOOD
AND FUN

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky Proud food and old-fashioned country fun are in store for visitors to the Henry County Harvest Showcase and lunch at the Henry County Farmers’ Market July 26 at the Henry County Fairgrounds on U.S. 421 between New Castle and Pleasureville.

“All the food served at the showcase will be raised or produced in Henry County,” Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer said. “The Harvest Showcase will offer good food and fun for the whole family while celebrating the county’s rich agricultural heritage.”

Highlights include the husband calling contest, the liars contest, horseshoe pitching, hayrides, animals, equine events, children’s activities, live music, arts and crafts and an antique tractor pull. Visitors may feast on barbecue, ribeye and hamburger sandwiches, grilled vegetables, fresh produce and homemade ice cream, all locally produced.

The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. A country ham breakfast sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce will precede the showcase at 7:30 a.m.

Admission is free. For more information, contact Henry County Judge-Executive John Logan Brent at (502) 845-5707 or the Henry County Extension Office at (502) 845-2811.
