FRANKFORT, Ky. — Visitors to the Kentucky Wine and Vine Fest will enjoy music, dancing, fun and Kentucky Proud wines.

The Grape Growers Bar-B-Que and Dance featuring the Kristi Miller Band is set for Thursday, May 8 at 6 p.m. at the RJ Corman Hangar. On Friday, May 9, a golf scramble starts at 8:30 a.m. at Connemara Golf Course and a tour of area wineries will depart at 9 a.m. An amateur wine competition is scheduled Friday afternoon at Chrisman Mill Winery. The Social, Dinner and Dance featuring the David Hummell Jazz Sextet rounds out Friday’s activities.

The main festival on Saturday, May 10 will offer food, arts and crafts, wine tastings, a demonstration of cooking with wine, the “Run for the Merlot” race and more musical entertainment.

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s grape and wine promotion program will have a booth where festival-goers may pick up a map of Kentucky wineries. The Kentucky Grape and Wine Council sponsored a commercial wine competition in connection with the festival in April.
