GOAP Announces Appointments to Loan Program Posts
Governor's Office of Agricultural Policy
FRANKFORT (February 12, 2018) — Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy Executive Director Warren Beeler announced the appointment of Hannah Forte to Director of Loan Programs.
“Hannah has worked for GOAP for nearly two years in different capacities, from board management to compliance,” said Warren Beeler, GOAP executive director. “Hannah’s talent and willingness to learn and work gives me full confidence in appointing her as Director of Loan Programs for the KAFC.”
As Director of Loan Programs, Forte will be responsible for the oversight of all loans processed through the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation (KAFC), including loans originating with the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board (KADB).
Prior to this appointment, Forte most recently held the role of Compliance/Project Manager with responsibility for ensuring reporting compliance for various KADB programs and processing of project applications related to farmers markets and community gardens.
“By providing access to low-interest loans, the KAFC works cooperatively with the industry to grow Kentucky agriculture,” Forte said. “I look forward to serving KAFC and the Commonwealth in this new capacity.”
Forte is a 2016 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. A native of Tennessee, she currently resides in Scott County.
As a result of Forte’s promotion, GOAP has announced the hiring of Sadie Middleton, in a part-time role to assist with loan programs and county program compliance.
“We are so pleased to have hired Sadie Middleton to assist with KAFC and compliance for GOAP,” said Warren Beeler, GOAP executive director.
“I look forward to continuing my time as a GOAP team member and appreciate the opportunity to learn more about Kentucky agriculture and the KADF,” said Middleton.
Middleton previously served as a GOAP summer intern in 2017 and is currently a senior at Transylvania University.
