FRANKFORT, KY (Oct. 20, 2026) –  Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell issued the following statement applauding the Trump Administration’s announcement of $8 billion in one-time payments to help American farmers manage temporary market disruptions and rising input costs during harvest:

"President Trump continues to deliver for America’s farmers. USDA’s new Harvest Fuel Relief Program will put $8 billion directly into farmers’ hands to help offset rising fuel and production costs. I’m grateful for his leadership and for putting farm families first."
