Wright was a champion of agriculture

FRANKFORT (July 19, 2023) – Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Ryan Quarles issued the following statement upon learning about the passing of Joseph “Joe” Richard Wright.

“I was saddened to learn about the passing of Joe Wright this past weekend. Joe was a true champion of agriculture for our great commonwealth. His dedication to the people of Kentucky as a member of the Kentucky State Senate for 17 years was only topped by his love for his family and his love for farming. His presence will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him. Prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time.”
