Hay HotlineTesting your hay/haylages
Agriculture Commissioner Ryan F. Quarles reminds Kentucky livestock producers that the Kentucky Department of Agriculture can help them find badly needed forages for their animals as many Kentucky pastures and hay fields have dried up in this year's drought.
The department's forage sales directory and hay hotline can help you find the forages your animals need.
If you are in need of hay, please browse the Tested Hay/Forage Sales Directory, this hay has been tested by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. There you can search by bale, county, or type of hay. The Department of Agriculture strongly promotes and supports its Kentucky Forage Producers
The Hay Hotline is currently active.
To be Listed in the Hay Hotline
If you have Current Market Available Hay, and you would like to list your hay on the hay hotline, please fill out the Hay Hotline form (click Forms on the right side bar). We do not accept predicted available hay. This site is open to all states.
Fill out the Hay Hotline form and submit to this program via email at or fax to Hay Hotline at (502) 573-2543 to be put on our list. We will post sellers that contact our hotline as we collect information. This list is updated once a week. Kentucky Producers that have had their hay tested by KDA will still be listed on the (Tested Hay) part of our website.
KDA makes no guarantees or claims to the quality, price, or nutritional value of hay and forages submitted through the hay hotline. Producers and brokers with hay for sale will be listed as we collect information through the hotline. KDA suggest that any hay purchased be tested for quality and protein.
