The Real Ag Experience
The Real Ag Experience allows students to experience and learn from people in the agriculture industry through two opportunities: 1) farm/agribusiness tours and 2) Bring Ag to the Classroom, where volunteers can be a guest speaker/teacher to local classrooms about agriculture.

Educators, click the region of Kentucky your school is in to find locations of ag tours and volunteer speakers/teachers for your classroom.
Clue In on Ag Careers
The Clue In on Ag Careers initiative allows students to experience dozens of agriculture careers from ag professionals across the state of Kentucky through inquiry-based learning. Clue In on Ag Careers is grade specific, providing a collective education experience of 30 different careers through a student’s time in elementary school through Ag Education Week.

Stories About Ag
The Stories About Ag initiative gives students the opportunity to learn about agriculture through a read-aloud story. Thanks to our partnership with Kentucky Farm Bureau, educators can welcome a farmer to their school to read an ag book! Contact your County Farm Bureau to schedule a farmer or utilize the video carousel below to hear from some familiar faces as they read their favorite ag book in a virtual read-aloud.

Ask An Aggie
Questions and curiosity drive learning and education. The Ask an Aggie initiative provides students with an opportunity to ask questions of professionals in the agriculture industry through a virtual live panel. Students will have the opportunity to submit their questions, hear questions and answers from other students across the state, and meet agriculture professionals from across the industry.

K-2nd Grade Science Lesson: Pollination
Students use the 5E instructional model to apply what they learn about bees and pollination. Through this lesson, students will understand how bees support agriculture and are important to producing Kentucky’s crops like apples and pumpkins. They will also develop problem-solving skills and design solutions to address challenges related to pollination and its impact on agriculture production.

3-5th Grade Science Lesson: Erosion
Students use the 5E instructional model to solve a problem faced by Kentucky’s farmers: erosion. This inquiry-based lesson for grades 3-5 encourages students to actively construct knowledge through hands-on investigations, reflection, and real-world application.
